The job of a Freight Forwarder is to simplify the shipping process.
As a Freight Forwarder, we have contracts with steamship lines, air lines, and trucking companies worldwide, which allows us to offer you competitive pricing.

As a Freight Forwarder, we educate and guide our customers through the often complex and ever-changing import and export regulations and process. Most importantly, you communicate only with us as your Freight Forwarder representative rather than several parties.

For many small to medium-sized businesses, the Freight Forwarder acts like a shipping department caring for the company’s logistics needs.

Contact us with the details of your shipment to help us determine the size/volume and weight of your shipment. Details should include Length, Width, Height, and Weight of your shipment. For vehicles or machinery, please provide the make and model and any other detail that is important to the estimate.
We will send you a quotation and we recommend that you compare it with other forwarders. Keep in mind that all costs are taken into account when comparing. Once an agreement is made, we can work out further details, including pick-up dates and required documentation.

Door-to-Door delivery is a full service where we arrange to pick up the shipment from its location of origin to its destination, right to the specified address. This commonly refers to the freight charges. Charges on top of Door-to-Door can be exempt of offloading, customs, and port charges.

There are many elements that can go into the overall price of your shipment. These depend on seasonality, commodity, destination, and other factors beyond your control. Surcharges such as the General Rate Increase (GRI) and Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS) can be announced at the last minute and be applicable to your shipment.

Import requirements differ from country to country - even for the same commodity. This is especially so if you’re moving overseas. Some countries have very strict rules on specific personal items and vehicles.

Make sure to check with your freight forwarder or your agent at destination if there are any special requirements you need to know about at destination. This could be special licenses for your cargo, extra documents.

Freight forwarders are responsible for making sure shipments arrive at their destination on time and in good condition. Tracking and tracing shipments is a key part of that job.

Custom clearance is an integral and important part of the freight forwarding procedure and many of the freight trucking companies offer this service.

There are generally 4 steps to the freight forwarding process, these are:

Pick Up
Export Customs Clearance
Import Customs Clearance (at destination country)
Delivery to recipient
These steps may differ depending on the service agreed between you and your provider.

The EORI (Economic Operator Registration and Identification) scheme is a European scheme introduced to improve security.

It requires each business looking to work in Europe to have a unique number which is then used by customs officials to track goods as they enter and move around Europe, including the UK.

Freight forwarding is a process that requires a lot of communication between different parties, and it’s important to make sure that all parties are informed of any changes or delays.

As a freight forwarder, you are responsible for a lot of paperwork, from customs documents to insurance forms. Not only do you need to make sure all documents are accurate and up-to-date, but you also need to be able to quickly and efficiently find the correct documents when they are needed.

Freight forwarders are responsible for making sure that shipments arrive on time and in the right condition. If a customer does not provide enough information, the freight forwarder might not be able to arrange the shipment properly.
